Niko Pelkonen, Logistics Manager
Meet Niko Pelkonen from Kuopio, Savo born and bred.
Niko came to work as a Logistics Manager in June 2018. His main responsibilities are to stand by his team and to assure the right material flow to and from Manufacturing Department.
According to Niko: "The Best thing about working in FinVector is the team spirit across the organisation and the right balance between work and free time." In his free time, Niko likes to hunt in the forest, spend time with his family, and play with his dogs.
Niko has years of experience in transportation and logistics but this field was unfamiliar to him before. He wants to develop himself in order to serve the needs of his employer in the best way possible and wants to become the world's best manager for his team.
FinVector invests in manager work. We have many internal trainings where we give managers the necessary information on how to deal in different situations, how to recognize different types of employees and how to communicate with them at the best way.
Lucia Riikonen Podracka, Operational Excellence Specialist
Here is one of our Operational Excellence Specialists Lucia Riikonen Podracka.
Lucia studied Microbiology at the University of Surrey, UK. She is originally from Slovakia but has been living in Finland for 10 years now. In her spare time, she does paragliding and different sports, including marshall arts. Back in Slovakia Lucia was a glider pilot!
Lucia came to FinVector in August 2017. As part of her job description is to assure our process is compliant with GMP, to support and develop the manufacturing process for gene therapy products, make observations, analyze data and interpret the results.
The best thing about Lucia's work is that she gets to do what she loves most, an important work in gene therapy. Equally best are also her colleagues.
Lucia would like to understand our processes more deeply and also learn more about product development keeping in mind the Virology aspect (subject of her thesis). FinVector supports individual career development e.g. by career paths, internal and external training.
